The Holidays
At Thanksgiving we had fun playing Scattegories and Pictionary with our daughter and son-in-law. It is so much fun to laugh when you are trying to guess what someone drew in Pictionary. You have to be able to laugh at yourself sometime!!!!!
Christmas Eve at my Dad's house. This Christmas we spent visiting family. We also spent Christmas day at Dion's brother's house. It's been good to re-connect with family. It seems we've been so busy working, we hardly ever spend time with family and they live here in town.

The Kingdom of God
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen,
but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor. 4:18
Help us to do this, Lord. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear You.

Treasures
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt. 6:19-21
I was just reading this verse and thinking about what my treasures are. In our women's Bible study we are reading Tozer's book The Pursuit of God. He talks about how we as people cherish things more than we cherish God. I'm asking God to show me what things I put above Him and that He would help me to stop doing that. It's something I will have to think about for a while.

Alicia is now 18
Alicia turned 18 yesterday. I can't believe both our daughters are adults now. Everything is changing. I wonder what the future will hold? Well, I believe God is alive and powerful and He has good plans for all of us.

My granddaughter turned 4 years old!
homes built under this cliff
It is amazing that so many years ago people created homes without any modern equipment. They built them underneath a cliff for protection from thier enemies. Well, anyway, my 3rd graders will learn about this in Social Studies class this year. They like history and think it would have been cool to live back it the days when you had to hunt your own food with a bow and arrow.
